2011 #3 -- Green Wave

Yes, another one already -- the Green Wave.

That's a yardstick, to show the size.

This one took me 3 days to do! Yes, you are reading that correctly. It's a version of the Feather and Fan Comfort Shawl which is one of my go-to patterns. I played around with the stitches while still retaining the wavy shape.

The actual secret is that I made it on size 17 needles, and I was desperate for a quick color fix after the last one.

Let me take you for a dive right into the shawl.

 

The echo of the red from the ribbon yarn in the middle sections to the fuzzy yarn at the edge is what makes it for me, and that was all serendipity.
